Brent Stevens
Brent Stevens is the Founder and Chairman of Peninsula Pacific Entertainment (P2E). As Brent built his distinguished career in investment banking, he began to focus on consumer industries where superior service and exceptional quality would be a differentiator. This was at the core of Peninsula Gaming, which he founded in 1997.
As Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Brent led the effort for Peninsula Gaming’s purchase of Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa, a three-level riverboat facility on the Mississippi River. The company invested in the property, improving its operations and eventually opening a new land-based casino. The undertaking revitalized downtown Dubuque, improving the local economy with the addition of jobs and bringing tax revenues to the city.
With the added priority of improving the cities in which Peninsula Gaming’s properties operated, the company opened another Diamond Jo property in Northwood, Iowa, in addition to Amelia Belle Casino in Amelia, La., Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino in Opelousas, La., and Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kan. Peninsula Gaming sold its ownership interests to Boyd Gaming in 2012, though Brent and several members of his executive team continued to be involved in the management of proprieties.
With P2E, Brent has continued his winning streak by bringing his managerial expertise and philosophy centered on service, quality and community involvement to high-potential gaming industry projects. This includes del Lago Resort & Casino in Waterloo, N.Y., Colonial Downs Racetrack and several Rosie’s Gaming Emporiums in Virginia, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Sioux City, Iowa, Kansas Crossing Casino in Pittsburg, Kan. and Diamond Jacks Hotel and Casino in Bossier City, La.
Originally from Southern California, Brent earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern California.
